The chart encodes each country-year combination on the x-axis with production in terawatt-hours on the y-axis, using hover effects to highlight individual bars. The implementation loads CSV data from a GitHub gist via `d3.csv`, computes summary statistics with `d3.mean` and `d3.max`, and renders an SVG bar chart using `d3.scaleBand` and `d3.scaleLinear` with `d3.axisBottom` and `d3.axisLeft`. The page is styled with CSS and built with D3.js v7.
