This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece using D3 to generate a grid of horizontal and vertical stripes. The code creates 100 rect elements in each orientation, positioned every 20 pixels, and applies two SVG masks to reveal the pattern only within a central circular area. The first mask uses a black background with a white circle, while the second inverts this with a white background and black circle, producing a complementary visual effect. The visualization uses d3-selection and d3-range to efficiently create and join the SVG elements.
