This interactive visualization combines a world map with a date histogram to show migrant deaths and missing persons over time. The map uses proportional circles scaled by the total dead and missing count, while the histogram displays monthly sums. Users can brush over the histogram to filter the map’s displayed data. Built with React and D3 v5, it employs d3.geoNaturalEarth1 and d3.geoPath for the map, d3.scaleSqrt for circle sizing, and d3.brushX for the time-filter interaction. Data comes from the Missing Migrants Dataset.
