Five circles in an SVG display random positions, sizes, and colors that update when the "Update data" button is clicked. Each update generates new random data and smoothly animates the circles to their new properties using D3's selection.join and transition methods. The code uses d3.select, d3.rgb, and chained .transition() calls to animate the cx, r, and fill attributes. All rendering is SVG-based with HTML buttons triggering the updates.
