Data is loaded via `d3.csv` from GitHub-hosted CSV files and rendered using Chart.js 4.4.1 for canvas charts and D3 v7 with `d3.geoPath` and `topojson-client` for an SVG state map. The interface includes interactive year filters and metric selectors that update charts dynamically via `updateOverview()` and `renderMap()`.
