This example visualizes the top ten cricketers and their career runs as a pie chart using D3 v5. The SVG rendering applies a categorical color scale to the pie segments, with each player’s runs determining the arc size. Data is loaded asynchronously from a JSON file via `d3.json`, then processed with `pie` and `arc` generators. A legend is drawn using appended rectangles and text, formatted with `d3.format`, and each player’s name and run total are displayed alongside the chart.
