Each rectangle’s x-position and width map to a survey’s start and end dates using `d3.scaleTime`, while its height represents the reported percentage via `d3.scaleLinear`. The SVG bars are drawn from `timeperiodv2.json`, which provides start and end dates parsed with `d3.timeParse`. The chart displays five national surveys from India, showing how their data collection periods overlap across time.
