This example displays an interactive world map using a geographic projection, with countries rendered as colored SVG paths and a sphere background. Users can pan and zoom the map through a zoom behavior applied to the SVG element. The visualization loads GeoJSON data from the world-atlas TopoJSON dataset, using d3.geoEquirectangular and d3.geoPath for projection and path generation, and the topojson feature method to extract country boundaries. Hovering highlights individual countries by changing their fill color.
