This example demonstrates a time series of San Francisco daily temperatures using green, semi-transparent area marks. The visualization is built with the Vega-Lite API, which programmatically constructs a markArea encoding temperature over timestamp. Data is loaded asynchronously via d3.csv from a GitHub-hosted CSV file, and rendered through Vega and Vega-Lite JavaScript libraries with a custom tooltip handler for interactivity.
