This visualization displays a world map of the Missing Migrants Dataset, where each circle represents a reported event and its size encodes the total number of dead and missing individuals. The map uses a natural Earth projection through d3.geoNaturalEarth1 and d3.geoPath to render landmasses, country borders, and graticules. Data points from a CSV are plotted as semi-transparent circles, with radii scaled using d3.scaleSqrt. The React application loads TopoJSON from World Atlas and SVG is used for all rendering.
