This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt wall drawing using the D3 library. It generates a grid of horizontal and vertical rectangles overlaid with SVG masks containing geometric symbols. The masks, populated with shapes from D3's `symbols` and `symbol` functions, create the intersecting patterns. The code uses D3's `select`, `range`, and `join` APIs to build the SVG structure and apply the masks.
