This visualization compares the electoral performance of the CDU and Die Linke parties across German federal elections from 1998 to 2025, using a pseudo scatter plot that traces both parties’ vote percentages over time. The chart combines two overlaid line series, with each data point labeled with its exact percentage value, allowing direct comparison between the black CDU line and the magenta Die Linke line. Built with React and D3 v7, it uses `scalePoint` and `scaleLinear` for axes, a D3 `line` generator for the trajectories, and `axisBottom`/`axisLeft` for rendering. The dataset is hardcoded in the application.
