This map of Mexico displays state boundaries using a gray fill for each state and lighter gray graticules, with a fixed Mercator projection. TopoJSON data from ArcGIS is processed via `feature` and `mesh` to generate state polygons and interior borders. The map is a starter template, with a color scale and waste data prepared but not yet applied to the marks.
