An interactive world map demonstrates cheap tricks for zooming and hovering. Countries are drawn as SVG paths using `d3.geoPath` with an Equal Earth projection, and hovering changes their fill color. A `d3.zoom` behavior is applied to the SVG, updating a group’s transform on pan and zoom events. The map uses TopoJSON country data and a TSV file mapping ISO numeric codes to country names for tooltips.
