This fork of Marcus’s D3 example renders a single SVG element sized at 960 by 500 pixels with a pink background. The visualization uses the D3 v5 library, where the `select` API targets the SVG container and applies the background color directly via inline styling. The accompanying stylesheet sets the body margin to zero and hides overflow, ensuring the graphic fills the viewport. The code demonstrates a minimal use of D3’s selection and styling methods without any data-driven marks or axes.
