This example visualizes missing migrant incidents worldwide, combining a natural Earth projection map with a histogram of monthly reported deaths and missing persons. Users brush over the histogram to filter which incidents appear as sized circles on the map, with circle radii encoding the total dead and missing. The visualization uses d3.geoPath for map rendering, d3.bin and d3.timeMonths for histogram binning, and d3.brushX for interactive filtering. The underlying data comes from the Missing Migrants Project subset CSV, with world geography sourced from TopoJSON 50m land data.
