This fork of a pie chart displays 2022 US auto sales by brand, with each slice representing a brand's year-to-date sales volume and a matching color-coded legend that labels each brand with its sales figure in thousands. Built with D3 v5, the visualization loads CSV data from a GitHub gist using `d3.csv`, then applies the `d3.pie` layout and `d3.arc` generator to render the SVG paths. Color mapping uses `d3.scaleOrdinal` with a custom palette, while `d3.format` formats the legend values. The chart is rendered as an SVG with custom CSS styling for text and legend elements.
