This interactive scatter plot visualizes survival rates in aircraft incidents, plotting the number of people aboard against fatalities for each incident. A dropdown menu filters the data by year, while hovering over a point reveals exact values via a tooltip. The visualization also displays the average survival rate in a separate panel. Using D3.js, the chart loads data from a Google Sheets CSV, computes survival rate as aboard-minus-fatalities divided by aboard, and renders SVG circles with scales and axes.
