This example shows a horizontal bar chart of population data for ten countries, encoded as SVG rectangles scaled by each country’s population value. The code loads data from `data.csv` and builds the visualization using D3 v5 APIs, including `csv`, `scaleLinear`, `scaleBand`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom`. The bars are appended to a translated `<g>` element, with the y-axis labeling countries and the x-axis scaled to the maximum population.
