This example displays the locations of three recent monolith discoveries on an interactive orthographic globe, with city-sized markers projected onto a world map. Built with D3 v4, it loads GeoJSON country boundaries from the World Atlas TopoJSON files and monolith coordinates from a CSV. Users can drag to rotate the globe, which swaps between 110m and 50m resolution landmasses during movement, and zoom via the wheel. Tooltips use d3-tip to show each monolith’s name on hover.
