A multi-line chart visualizes the evolution of album counts per musical genre over time, based on data from album.json. The chart uses a time-scaled x-axis for release dates and a linear y-axis for the number of albums, with each genre represented by a distinct colored line and a tooltip on hover. Built with D3 v5, the code uses d3.nest() to group the data, d3.scaleTime() and d3.scaleLinear() for axes, d3.line() for path generation, and d3.zoom() for interactive panning. The visualization renders as SVG within a grid layout.
