This area chart visualizes the percentage of US students in universities from 2000 to 2008 using a smooth curve. The visualization combines a black line with an aqua-filled area beneath it, rendered as SVG. The code uses d3.scaleLinear for both axes, d3.line and d3.area generators with curveBasis for smoothing, and d3.axisBottom and d3.axisLeft for labeled axes. Data is loaded from a CSV via d3.csv and parsed by converting numeric fields.
