This example shows a bar chart of the populations of the ten most populous countries, using data loaded from a CSV file that lists each country with its population count. The chart renders as an SVG element with dimensions 960 by 500 pixels, though it currently only logs the imported data to the console. The code uses D3 v3’s `select` and `csv` methods to select the SVG and parse the external data file, respectively, setting up the foundation for a bar chart visualization.
