The map uses d3.geoNaturalEarth1 and d3.geoPath to render landmasses, with circle sizes scaled by the square root of the total dead and missing count. The histogram below aggregates monthly totals using d3.bin and d3.sum, with axes from custom React components. Both views share the same dataset, loaded via d3.csv from a subset of the Missing Migrants Project.
