This example uses D3.js v5 to construct a cartoon face out of basic SVG shapes on a purple background. The code uses `d3.select` and `d3.arc` to draw a yellow circle head, black eyes, rectangular eyebrows, and an arc-shaped mouth. A chained `transition().duration(2000)` animates the eyebrows moving up and down, while a series of `setTimeout` promises toggle the mouth between a smile and an open expression. The face is centered using SVG group transforms.
