This bar chart displays the population of the top 10 most populous countries, using 2018 estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2017. The visualization highlights the relative scale of each nation, from China’s leading figure down to Mexico. Built with D3 v5, the code loads data from a CSV file and renders an SVG bar chart with customized axes. It notably uses d3.csv to parse the data and D3’s scale functions to map population values to bar heights.
