This example displays New York Census Tracts as gray polygons with black borders, rendered as SVG paths that fill the viewport. Loading GeoJSON via `d3.json` and converting TopoJSON with `feature`, the map uses `d3.geoPath` without a projection. The visualization supports interactive panning and zooming through `d3.zoom`, which applies transformations to a group element. Hovering changes a tract’s fill to red via CSS. Data comes from Mike Bostock’s New York Census Tracts block, using TopoJSON and D3 v5.
