The visualization uses Vega-Lite’s `layer` API to combine a `markGeoshape` for the map with a `markCircle` projection for the restaurant points. Data comes from a CSV loaded via `d3.csv`, with longitude and latitude fields encoded, and tooltips showing location and address. The AlbersUSA projection and topojson state boundaries come from Vega’s sample data.
