This example shows a vertical bar chart of population data for ten countries, using a CSV file as its primary data source. The chart maps each country’s name to a categorical x-axis and its population value to a numeric y-axis, with bar heights encoded to reflect the top-largest populations, led by China and India. Built with D3 v5, the visualization relies on the `select` API to target the SVG element and reads explicit `width` and `height` attributes from the `<svg>` tag to size the canvas.
