This example displays a full-window, rounded rectangle rendered as a blank canvas using D3 v5 and SVG. The code sizes the SVG to the browser viewport and appends a single `<rect>` element with a 40-pixel corner radius. No data is loaded or displayed; the visualization serves as a minimal starting point for further development, using `d3.select` to bind the SVG element and set its attributes.
