This example builds a stylized smiley face from scratch using D3 v5 and React, rendered as SVG. The face’s geometry is defined by explicit coordinates for the eyes, nose, and mouth, with D3 arc generators (`d3.arc()`) creating the curved mouth, lips, eyebrows, and ears. React mounts the SVG components via `ReactDOM.render`, while D3’s `arc` API supplies the path data for those shapes. The code shows a static, yellow circular head with black strokes, white-and-black eyes, a red nose, and matching ears, all positioned through SVG `<g>` transforms.
