This histogram visualizes monthly counts of dead and missing migrants over time, revealing trends in reported incidents. The visualization displays the data as vertical bars, with the x-axis representing chronological months and the y-axis showing the aggregate count per period. Built with React and D3 v6, it uses `scaleTime`, `scaleLinear`, and `histogram` (bin) APIs to bin records by month and sum the mortality metric. The SVG rendering includes custom axis components and hover tooltips via native `<title>` elements. Data comes from the Missing Migrants CSV dataset.
