The chart is rendered as an SVG, with each slice colored via `d3.scaleOrdinal` and `d3.schemeCategory10`, and includes a legend showing each hobby’s name and its corresponding numeric value. The code loads data from a CSV file using `d3.csv`, sorts it descending by cost, and builds the pie with `d3.pie` and `d3.arc`. Mouseover events log the hobby value to the console, and the visualization is built with React, D3 v5, and SVG paths.
