A simple horizontal bar chart visualizes five numeric values using SVG rectangles. D3.js v3 scales the bar widths linearly from the data’s maximum value to a fixed pixel width. Each bar displays its corresponding number as white text at the rectangle’s end. The chart is built by binding the data array to groups, appending rect and text elements, and setting their positions with transform attributes.
