This example visualizes the top 10 countries by deaths from air pollution in 2020 using a pie chart with an accompanying legend. Each slice is labeled with its value in thousands, and the legend pairs country names with their corresponding death counts and color swatches. The chart is built with D3 v5, using the `pie()` and `arc()` generators to create SVG paths, while `scaleOrdinal` maps slice colors. Data is loaded asynchronously via `csv()` from a GitHub gist.
