Circle radii are determined by a square-root scale (`d3.scaleSqrt`) mapping the maximum casualty count to 15 pixels. The React-based SVG rendering loads CSV data containing geospatial coordinates and casualty figures, styling landmasses and interior borders for a polished, readable presentation.
