This example displays population estimates for the world’s twelve most populous countries, with horizontal bars labeled by country name. Built with React and D3 v5, it uses `scaleBand` for the y-axis and `scaleLinear` for the x-axis, rendering bars as SVG rectangles via a custom `Marks` component. The data is loaded as CSV from a GitHub gist using `d3.csv`, with axis formatting via `d3.format`.
