This interactive starter template renders a blank 400x400 SVG canvas with a single small pink rectangle, created through a custom SPM class that appends a square to the SVG root. The page sets a black background and uses bold 13em body text, though no data visualization is currently active. The code constructs the visualization with d3.select and the SPM prototype's init method, importing d3 v6 from the CDN, while the SPInit method for plotting xData and yData remains unimplemented, leaving the chart as a static placeholder.
