A clickable, animated tree diagram shows hierarchical data loaded from a local JSON file. Clicking a node toggles its children, collapsing or expanding subtrees with smooth transitions. The visualization uses D3 v3’s `d3.layout.tree` to calculate node positions and `d3.svg.diagonal` to draw curved links, while SVG circles and text labels update via `transition()` over 1100 milliseconds. Node fill colors distinguish collapsed branches from open ones.
