This visualization combines a bubble map and a date histogram to explore missing migrant incidents. The map uses a d3-geo naturalEarth1 projection with graticules and country borders, sizing circles by total dead and missing via d3.scaleSqrt. The histogram bins reported dates by month using d3.histogram and sums fatalities per bin. Both views render as SVG in React, with data from the Missing Migrants CSV and world atlas TopoJSON.
