This fork of the India Map ICE-8 example displays the states of India, colored by state name using D3’s `scaleOrdinal` with `schemeCategory10`. Built with d3.v5 and TopoJSON, it loads geographic data from a remote GitHub gist, projects it using `geoMercator`, and renders each state as an SVG path via `geoPath`. State names appear as text labels at each path’s centroid, with white stroke separations and a yellow hover effect.
