This example displays 2022 US auto sales by brand as a pie chart with a corresponding legend. It loads CSV data from a GitHub gist via the d3.csv method, then processes it using d3.pie and renders SVG paths with d3.arc. A d3.scaleOrdinal maps brand sales to a fixed color palette, while text labels show each brand’s cumulative year-to-date sales in thousands. The visualization uses D3 v5 and SVG, with styling defined in an external stylesheet.
