The map uses a natural Earth projection via `d3.geoPath` and `d3.geoNaturalEarth1`, with circle radii scaled by `d3.scaleSqrt` based on total dead and missing counts. The histogram aggregates reported dates into monthly bins using `d3.histogram` and `d3.timeMonths`, summing casualties per bin. Both views render as SVG within a React component, fed by a CSV dataset of global missing migrant records.
