This example recreates Sol LeWitt’s Wall Drawing 370 using D3’s `symbol` and `symbols` APIs to generate the artist’s signature geometric forms. Two masks—one inverted—are created from these symbols, then applied to alternating horizontal and vertical striped rectangles across the full screen. The code uses D3 selections, `range`, `join`, and SVG `mask` elements to layer 100 stripes in each direction, producing a precise, full-window reproduction of the original artwork’s pattern.
