Node color encodes group membership (countries versus formats), and link thickness reflects the number of World Cup wins. The code loads data from a CSV via `d3.csv`, transforms it into hierarchical nodes and links, and renders an SVG using `d3.forceSimulation` with link, charge, and center forces. Drag behavior is implemented using `d3.drag` to reposition nodes interactively.
