This example visualizes car sales in India from 2009 to 2019 using a combined line and area chart rendered with SVG. The line chart highlights yearly sales trends, while the orange area fills the space beneath the curve for emphasis. The visualization uses d3.scaleTime and d3.scaleLinear for axes, d3.area and d3.line with curveBasis for smoothing, and d3.csv to load the dataset from a GitHub gist. Axes are drawn with d3.axisBottom and d3.axisLeft, and formatted tick labels use d3.format.
