A horizontal bar chart displays total confirmed coronavirus cases for each U.S. state and Washington D.C., sorted from New York's 247,215 down to Alaska's 319. The visualization uses D3 v5’s `scaleLinear`, `scaleBand`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom` to map case counts to bar widths, with states on the vertical axis and cases on the horizontal axis. Data is loaded from a CSV file via `d3.csv` and rendered as SVG rectangles, with all bars colored blue and outlined in black.
