Five pieces of fruit sit in a drawn bowl, with apples and lemons updating through enter, update, and exit selections. Clicking a fruit highlights it with a black stroke, demonstrating a selected-state special case. The code uses d3.scaleOrdinal for color and radius mapping, d3 transitions for movement, and SVG circles and text. Data is generated randomly with Math.random and mutated via timeouts.
