This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion. The tree layout positions each country as a leaf node, with continent and region names at higher levels. The code uses D3 v5’s `tree` layout and `linkHorizontal` path generator to draw the branching connections in SVG, with text labels sized by depth. Interactive zooming is enabled through the `zoom` event, allowing users to pan and scale the nested data hierarchy loaded from a JSON file.
