This visualization uses a D3 pie chart to display the top 10 countries by population in 2022. The code fetches data from a GitHub-hosted CSV file and renders the chart as SVG. Each slice is labeled with its population value in thousands, and a legend on the right side pairs country names with their corresponding values and color swatches. The chart uses D3’s `pie()`, `arc()`, and `scaleOrdinal()` APIs to compute slice angles, generate arc paths, and assign colors, respectively.
